What to ask of a house in Panama

Useful space, light, and maintenance you can see coming.

A house is not measured only in square meters. What matters is how it is arranged: where you eat, where you work, and whether the bedrooms get light without relying on air conditioning all day.

The lot and the roof are easy to miss on a first visit, and they matter later. Ask about leaks, the condition of the kitchen, and who looks after the garden or the community.

A house in the city, in the interior, or closer to the mountains sets a different pace. Be clear about the real use: living there all year, staying for seasons, or keeping a place that is easy to look after when you are away.
